How To: Instagram Blue Theme

Since my fun little travel series is now over I thought I would so a super fun and highly requested blog post for all of you and as I am sure you can see from the title its how I edit my Instagram pictures with a blue theme!

I have actually gotten a bunch of questions recently because I changed my feed from a beauty feed to an all travel feed, and not just travel but also blue. I thought it would be perfect for a few weeks during the summer and since every one color Instagram theme I see blows my mind and I instantly follow. Alright, lets hop right into how I edit my photos in my blue theme!

Firstly, you need to take blue colored photos. Even if they aren’t that blue, we will make them super blue! But they need to at least be the slightest bit blue or have blue in them. Here is a side by side of the actual photo I took and how I amped it up to be much more blue then it actually is!

Next I will go into “VSCO” which is the only app I ever use to edit my photos and edit all my photos in this theme the exact same way.
Steps I take:
Exposure +0.5
Contrast +0.5
Saturation +1
Temperature -1.5
Highlights Blue +6.2

Yes these are very exact measurements that I do on VSCO but I am absolutely obsessed with the way they make my photos look! I also get my planner hat on and plan out exactly how I want my photos to look in my feed with a completely free app called “Preview”. You can play around with the actual photos and how they will look once you press publish on Instagram which for someone as OCD as me its perfect!

Instagram is becoming more and more of a don’t play around app. If you press publish on something you don’t absolutely love you can totally mess up the look your going for. I also am part of a bunch of blogging groups on Facebook and they are always saying post quality not quantity. Months ago before I got super serious about Instagram I would just make sure I had a post for everyday rather then having 5 quality posts to publish within a 7 day timeframe. You can look back and actually see a huge difference. Not only in photo and editing quality but it has also really helped my numbers out! Exactly one year ago I had 1373 Instagram followers and today I have 2564 which isn’t even that many when you start comparing. But all I can truly say is hard work pays off and don’t play with the feed!

Of course I have to plug my Instagram now since thats what this post was all about!

Las Vegas Fun Guide (for a 21 year old & her family)

As I am very sure most of you know by now I was lucky enough to celebrate my 21st birthday in Las Vegas and of course I had to share my highlights with all of you beauties! I know most of you guys are around my age and may be traveling with your family so I wanted to tie that all in together and create this post!
I did so much research and honestly all I came across is things that could be done with friends and none of what I read could actually be done with your mom, dad or underage sister. So let me tell you a little bit of everything and hop right into things!

Literally so thankful for my amazing parents, my dad upgraded us to be prestige members at the Palazzo so when we got out of our Uber and got to the hotel they sent us to a fancy floor where no joke we were greeted with prosecco and for my sister sparkling apple cider. The social media team also provided me with a super adorable pool bag filled with goodies and then a box of Godiva chocolate. We make it up to our room and were greeted by more goodies! The public relations team had left me a spread of all kinds of goodies for us to enjoy while we were staying! Not to mention our suite at the Palazzo was unbelievable and gave us a perfect view of the Palazzo pools! (I mention that the view is of the Palazzo pools because when you stay at either the Palazzo or the Venetian you can use either of their pools as they are technically connecting hotels.)
Okay, so I just wanted to give you guys a little backstory for the hotel but now were going to move on to short and sweet little recommendations I have for you!

You must go to a buffet while in Vegas! Which one is the best? I would say 100% it would have to be the Bacchanal Buffet in Caesar’s Palace.

Best Italian food on the strip? Hit up Buddy V’s Ristorante and get the Caesar salad with the croutons, you will thank me later!

Most Instaworthy restaurant? The Sugar Factory of course! I mean can you even say you went if you didn’t order a goblet and take an adorable Boomerang with it?

Best Appetizers? Giada at The Cromwell (the bruschetta they make comes with avocado on it and no joke I have been craving it ever since we got back.)

You obviously have to gamble. Lucky for me both of my parents wanted to kind of show me the casino ropes so my mom and I went down to the casino one night for slots and the next night my dad and I went down to the casino and played at the craps table. Side note, my mom was very confused when we got down to the casino (HOME GIRL BROUGHT ROLLED COINS WITH HER IN HER SUITCASE) she was completely expecting to just keep popping her change in the machines and I was like no mom its basically all on your cashout voucher. Somehow I knew more then she did. Also I would highly recommend playing at all the hotels you go to (I lost around $30 at Planet Hollywood and won a whopping $54 at The Cromwell and $30 at the Bellagio.)

You of course have to do window shopping or actual shopping at the Grand Canal Shops in the Venetian and if you can fit it in, a gondola ride as well!

Walking into the flower room at The Bellagio was amazing and absolutely breathtaking! Not to mention the water show they do every 15 minutes outside. Yes, this is where Drake did his Billboard’s performance.

From my previous blog posts which were V The UltimateVariety Show, The Range 702 and The Blue Man Group you can get a pretty good feel for some of the shows and attractions we hit up while we were in Las Vegas! I would highly recommend all three of these and you can read some more in those posts!

Hope you enjoy my recommendations for Las Vegas and please leave me a comment below what some of your favorite things to do and let me know if you have been to any of these spots!

Blue Man Group Las Vegas*

DARE TO LIVE IN FULL COLOR! I was lucky enough to get tickets to see Blue Man Group live at the Luxor Hotel and Casino!

Here is what the website says about the Las Vegas show! “Blue Man Group will rock your world. Blow your mind. And unleash your spirit. It won’t call your mom on her birthday. Or will it? (Do you want it to?) Leave your expectations at the door and let three bald and blue men take you on a spectacular journey bursting with music, laughter and surprises.
Electrify your night at the specially designed state-of-the-art Blue Man Theater at Luxor Hotel and Casino. 35 million people of all ages, languages and cultures know what Blue Man Group is really about. Now it’s your turn. Dare to live in full color!”

All I can truly say is WOW, these three men are absolutely incredible. The talent is unreal and they put on such a fantastic show. They do add some bits to break up the music so it's not all hardcore loud music all the time, which I can really appreciate. I know were going to see the Blue Man Group but I really did enjoy the comedy sketches they did and it was all something you would never see outside of them. It is all very original, very funny for my taste and truly something you have to experience for yourself.

Another thing I absolutely loved and wouldn’t stop talking about after the show was over and then to friends and family at home was how surprised I was with the audience interaction! First, a few minutes before the show started they come around and give you that paper confetti string, you will see what I mean in these next two pictures but they tell you to get creative and wrap yourself up in the string. It makes sitting waiting for the show a lot less boring, you talk to your neighbors as your passing down the string and you honestly cant help but laugh at some of the crazy people in the audience! Here are the few pictures I have of me dressed up in the string, being my cute self of course I opted for the bow on my some up some down look. #OOTD

Next for audience interaction they give out the painting they made on stage, they have a bunch of sketches where they go out into the audience, pick people out and even sometimes just chill out and look at people in the crowd. They took a selfie, which was posted to their Facebook page (of course you can see my family and my paper bow but not actually me because I’m short and the guy in front of me was huge and waving his arms!) See if you can find us, I really hope you can.

Not to mention after the show, the incredibly talented band comes out for photos in the lobby area of the theater and two of the real life blue men come out for photos! I don’t look super cute because obviously I didn’t have my ring light but lets just ignore that little part!

Overall it is something you truly have to see for yourself and personally I think it is one of the best shows Las Vegas has to offer. It really is a show that is perfect for all ages, shapes, sizes and genders and I don’t think anyone who went would not have fun!

They actually play in Las Vegas, New York, Boston, Chicago, Orlando and Berlin and currently they play every night in Vegas so it will work with your travel schedule no matter what!

And of course be sure to follow them on

If you are not already!
